    Driven with a purpose, this event is a sponsor for the Shreveport Providence House - a program aimed at helping homeless families with children.     Alpenglow Concert Series - Every Monday from July 1 - August 5

    Crested Butte Museum Black & White Ball - July 2
    Black and white attire takes over Elk Avenue for this well-dressed celebration of the storied history of Crested Butte. All proceeds support the Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum.

    Crested Butte Music Festival - July 4-August 4
    The Crested Butte Music Festival, celebrating its 10th anniversary season, presents an innovative program of music and dance from July 4th to August 4th, 2007. This year's festival includes four full weeks of chamber and orchestral music, opera, a little bit of jazz, bluegrass, and dance, and the 10,000-ft debut of the erhu, a Chinese two-stringed fiddle.     Fourth of July Celebration - July 4
    Crested Butte's 4th of July Celebration is one of the town's premiere events. The day begins with a huge parade which marches directly through downtown Crested Butte, and is followed by an event lineup, which includes a Log Saw Competition, Kids Games, and live music. A food court will also be open throughout the day which will offer a variety of foods and drinks. The day will be capped off by the Crested Butte Chamber's famous fireworks show at dusk (weather permitting).

    Crested Butte Wildflower Festival - July 7-13
    This annual event celebrates Crested Butte's designation as "The Wildflower Capital of Colorado." The festival features daily hikes, art and photography classes, cooking classes, garden tours and nightly lectures. Visit www.crestedbuttewildflowerfestival.com for more information.

    Caddis Cup Fly Fishing Tournament - July 24-25
    This annual event gets you in and around secret spots in the Gunnison2 Valley. Participants are paired with a local guide for the fishing, with the event including many other acitivities. Visit CB Land Trust for more information.

    The Crested Butte Bank Trails Triathalon - July 27
    A 1K swim in Lake Grant followed by a 24K mountain bike ride on trails including Upper Upper Loop and Strand Hill, finishing with a 9K trail run. Visit www.westelktri.com for more information.

    Crested Butte Festival of the Arts - August 2-3
    One of town's most popular events, artists come from all over to participate. Visit www.crestedbutteartfestival.com for more information. This weekend also includes the famous Rotary Club Rubber Duckie Race down Coal Creek on the 3rd.

    Crested Butte Open - August 3-4
