From Denver, take highway 285 South to Poncha Springs, then highway 50 West to Gunnison. In Gunnison, turn North on highway 135 to Crested Butte. Total trip time is approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes. From Colorado Springs, take highway 24 West to highway 285 South into Poncha Springs. From Poncha Springs, follow highway 50 West into Gunnison, then head north on highway 135 into Crested Butte. Total trip time is 3 hours and 20 minutes.
From Dallas, take highway 287 North to I-25 in New Mexico. Head north on I-25 to Walsenburg, where you will head West on highway 160 to Alamosa, Colorado. From Alamosa, take highway 285 North to Saguache and highway 114 North to highway 50. Head West on highway 50 to Gunnison. In Gunnison, take highway 135 North to Crested Butte. Total trip time is approximately 15 hours.
From Phoenix, follow I-17 to Flagstaff, then head north on highway 89 to highway 160 (East) to Durango. Take highway 550 North to Montrose, then take highway 50 East to Gunnison. In Gunnison, take highway 135 North to Crested Butte. Total trip time is approximately 10 hours and 52 minutes.
